Privacy Policy for Blackjack Trainer

Effective date: October 14, 2026

Last updated: October 2026

Blackjack Trainer ("the app") is a blackjack basic-strategy practice trainer with an optional upgrade, Blackjack Trainer Pro. This policy explains what data the app handles. The short version: your practice stays on your device, and the only thing that goes online is an optional Pro purchase, which is confirmed through Apple or Google and through RevenueCat.

Summary

Who runs this app

Blackjack Trainer is operated by Appana Ventures LLC. In this policy, "we" means Appana Ventures LLC.

In October 2026 the app moved from its original developer to Appana Ventures LLC. The move changed who operates the app and nothing else.

Your use of the app is also covered by our Terms of Use.

What data we collect

Practice and settings: none. The app does not send your practice activity, progress, statistics, or settings anywhere. We (Appana Ventures LLC) never receive, see, or have access to your practice progress, statistics, or settings.

Purchases. The only information that leaves your device is the purchase record described under "In-app purchases" below.

Sharing. When you share a result, the app builds an image on your device and hands it to the app you choose through iOS. To share to Instagram or TikTok, the app saves that image to your Photos library with add-only access; it never reads your library. Nothing is uploaded by Blackjack Trainer.

Reminders. Practice reminders are optional and off until you turn them on. They are local notifications that your phone schedules from your on-device practice data. They need no server: the app never asks for a push token, and reminders send nothing to anyone.

In-app purchases

Blackjack Trainer Pro is an optional in-app purchase, sold as a yearly subscription or a one-time Lifetime unlock. The payment itself is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never receive your name, card, or other payment details, and neither does the app.

To unlock Pro, and to restore it on a new phone, the app uses RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.), a service that confirms purchases with Apple and Google. When the app starts, and when you open the Pro screen, buy, or restore, it contacts RevenueCat. It sends your purchase record (which Pro product you bought, when, and whether it is active) together with a random anonymous ID that the app creates on your device. Like any internet request, it also carries technical details such as your IP address and your app and operating system version. The app does not give RevenueCat your name, email address, advertising identifier, or any other identifier, and the anonymous ID is not linked to you.

RevenueCat uses this information to confirm and restore your purchase, to prevent fraud, and to give us purchase reporting, such as how many people bought Pro. We do not use it for advertising, and it is not used to track you across other companies' apps or websites. RevenueCat's own privacy policy is at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.

The app also keeps a small record on your device (whether Pro is unlocked and when it was last checked) so that Pro keeps working offline. Practice does not need the internet; the app goes online only for the purchase features above.

What data is stored on your device

To let you pick up where you left off, the app stores the following locally on your device only, using standard on-device storage:

The app itself does not transmit this data to us, to the app stores, or to any third party. If you have device backup turned on in your phone's settings (Apple iCloud or Google's Android backup), your operating system may include this on-device app data in your own personal, encrypted backup and restore it when you set up a device or reinstall the app. That is a feature of your phone that you control in your device settings, the app has no access to those backups, and the data still never goes to us or anyone else. If you delete the app, the on-device copy is removed.

Children's privacy

Blackjack Trainer is a practice and education tool. No real money, no wagers, no payouts. It is not directed at children. The app asks for no personal information from anyone, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Third parties

The app uses one third-party service, RevenueCat, for purchases only (see "In-app purchases"). It integrates no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. Apple and Google process purchases under their own privacy policies.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes (for example, if a future version of the app adds an optional online feature), we will update this page and revise the effective date above. As of the effective date shown, this policy accurately describes the app in its entirety.
